Laure Joubert is a middle aged human lady living in Paris played by Morgrim.
Laure was 'woken' by Theta with the intention of being temporary entertainment and then lunch. Fortunately for her she had only suffered comparatively mild injuries before Margreet Wauters intervened and drove the Cheshire away. She'd like to help fight back but isn't sure how.
Background
Hobbies
Unsurprisingly Laure enjoys reading, and is fond of jazz music.
Job
Laure works in a Parisian library, which was also where she was initially attacked.
Family
Laure's family lives in the countryside, a few hours out of Paris. Her attempts to talk to them about the Cheshire situation have been ignored, and until she can do something practical she's decided to leave them alone and desperately hope for the best. Within Paris, Laure lives with a childhood friend that teaches in a local school. She finds interacting with curiosity-sabotaged Sabine creepy and spends most of her home time cuddling with their cat Napoleon.
Aspirations
Before the invasion Laure was content with working as a librarian, participating in occasionally cultural activities, and possibly finding a partner to settle down with or aging into a cat loving old maid. After recovering from the curiosity toxin she is at something of a loose end, wanting to contribute to fighting the Cheshires but utterly incapable of helping with the actual fighting. If Cheshires were a researchable threat she would happily take up that role but would very much like to remain several kilometers from the creatures themselves.
In some small part of her mind, she would very much like to steal rescue Theta's white cat.
Personality
Baseline
Laure is quiet and somewhat of an introvert but does genuinely enjoy interacting with people one on one or in small groups. In large gatherings she is inclined to be a wallflower.
Around Cheshires
Terror and flight. After seeing Theta driven off with a bag of icecubes Laure is likely to hurl the nearest cup, water bottle or vase of cut flowers in the Cheshire's direction as she flees out the nearest door, which will either give her a few seconds to escape or ensure her quick and messy doom.
